In Unheard, Unseen... the ferry carries 'special' passengers.

A Victoria class SSK on the Synchrolift in Halifax Dockyard. A similar scene in 'Unheard, Unseen' results in the public knowledge of the 'pizza pan' sized dent in Victoria's hull - caused by a Mark-48 torpedo fired by the USS Jimmy Carter.

The author relaxing in the captain's chair aboard  USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, CV-69 while the nuclear powered aircraft carrier was visiting Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1997. It just doesn't get much better than this!

Tied up at Dartmouth, Nova Scotia across from Halifax, HMC Submarines Onondaga, Okanagan, Ojibwa and Olympus, which was never commisioned into the Canadian Navy, await their fate in 2003. Onondaga will soon be moved to the Musée de la Mer de Pointe-au-Père, near Rimouski Que.
